Business Outlaws – Who’s Afraid Of The Big Bad Boss? – Eric Edmeades Pt. 2

Nobody wants to be the bad guy. But sometimes, you’ve gotta play the part in order to be the good guy. In Part 2 of Eric Edmeades’ conversation with BigMike, Chris “Bulldog” Collins and host Jayme Foxx, he talks about emotional needs and how they warp our perspectives and drive our interactions with the people we build success with.

At the beginning, many people start out as one-person operations. You’re the CEO, you’re the accountant, you’re the marketing team, and you’re the one producing whatever it is that’s gonna make you rich. Staying in that solopreneur role is going to keep you at the bottom of the food chain — you have to surround yourself with people who can help you rise to the top.

But here’s the catch: Once you’ve got people helping you, you’re responsible for their work environment and culture. And that doesn’t just mean setting up a nice office — it also means being the type of leader who cultivates healthy, motivated mindsets within their team. Your employees don’t think like you do, but you have to think like them. You must identify and provide what they need from you, to ultimately further your brand’s success. And sometimes, that means playing the bad guy. In this episode, Edmeades explains how you do that.
